1. Stuff by GEORGE
MY FAVORITE SITE(S): (WOW!)
These sites are the work of George Hart
formerly of Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.
Professor Hart has made many polyhedral
models both in the real world
AND in the "virtual" world.
His main page is:
http://www.georgehart.com/
Professor Hart has made many interesting models in the real world using old
disks, plastic spoons, etc. He has also created "virtual polyhedra"
that you can manipulate in cyberspace.
AT THE ABOVE SITE YOU WILL FIND
A LONG LIST OF LINKS for polyhedra
When you choose a particular polyhedra,
select the 'spin' option and you will be able to
turn the polyhedra in real time by clicking
the left mouse button.
Press, hold and turn with the
right mouse button and the polyhedra will spin freely.
If you click the right mouse button and choose
'detail' and change to wire frames for the solids.
You will find the classical Platonic Solids
here and MUCH MORE.
