Interactive Math Online is a Web site for educators and
students who are interested in integrating the Internet with their
schoolwork.
The Geometry
link contains examples and explanations of geometric
theorems and definitions. Proofs of the most common theorems are given with
explanations of the reasons for each step.
The Math Forum contains excellent links for the geometry teacher.
Math Forum's The Geometry Problems of the Week
are designed to provide creative and non-routine challenges for students.
Problem-solving and mathematical communication are key elements of every problem.
Past problems and solutions are given in addition to the current problem.
This site contains a history of M. C. Escher's life and his works.
Escher's tessellations can be viewed in full by choosing
from a listing of the selections. Students can also learn
about the symmetry in tessellations from the mathematical
classification of tessellations using examples of Escher's works.
The author of Euclid's Elements created this site to "rekindle" an
interest in Euclid's Elements using the web and to show how Java
applets can be used to illustrate geometry. The text of all 13 Books is
complete, and all of the figures are illustrated using a geometry applet.
This is an excellent site for the mathematics teacher who loves geometry.
