The Middle School Youth (MSY) group is about having fun. Fun helping others, fun doing service projects, and extreme fun hanging out with your friends. Participation in the MSY activities varies. It is understood that other life events and other organizations are important to the youth and the MSY group is one of the options. It presents an opportunity for the youth to meet new friends, face new challenges, and experience Christian based service projects. MSY activities fit into three categories: Service, Group Activities, and Meetings.

| 2004 Service Projects: |
§ Mission
Trip to Charlotte, NC:
Church Halloween Party: This is one of our most “energetic” activities. The youth really get behind the planning, setting up, directing, and , yes, cleaning up for this activity hosted for the younger § children of FPC. § Cookie Delivery and Thanksgiving Fruit Baskets: The MSY assisted in preparing and delivering these items to the elderly and shut-ins of our congregation. § Christmas Service Projects: This year we made Christmas cards for the local assisted living home and purchased gifts at the “Angel Tree” for less fortunate youth. § Leaf Raking: Performing this task for one of our elderly members was a labor of love with side benefits of cookies, brownies, and lemonade.
§ Corn Maze: What an adventure! It was amazing! § Snow Skiing: On a cold, sunny, beautiful day in January 2004 we conquered the slopes. It was fun.

MSY Meetings:
§ In general, meetings are conducted to prepare for a scheduled activity. Sometimes we bring our dinner and other times we order Pizza. Most meetings include group games. Our last meeting in November concluded with an indoor volleyball game. The girls won!
If you would like to find out more, ask any MSY or one of the adult leaders. The adult leaders, who assure a safe environment and activities, are Scott Nunley, Scott Koch, Lisa Bradney, Connie Begovich, or Jeff Thode.
