9:30 Senior Assembly in the Main Auditorium

 

April 19

 

PROM, 7:30-11:30 p.m.Rothchild's, Tickets ($45/person ) on sale late Wednesdays from 8:00 to 9:00 on April 9 and April 16. No tickets sold at the door.

 

April 26 , Saturday

 

Breakfast at Aubreys 8:00 - 10:00 with family and friends ($5/person)

 

May 9, Friday

 

8:00 a.m. Breakfast

9:45 a.m. - noon Movie at the Pinnacle.

BACCALAUREATE PRACTICE 1:00. Attendance is required at practice if student plans to go through Baccalaureate on Sunday. Be at First Baptist Concord Church by 12:45 a.m. Men, please remember to bring CAPS.

 

May 11, Sunday

 

BACCALAUREATE, First Baptist Church Concord, 3:00 p.m. Students should be there by 2:30 p.m. to get in line. The procession will start on time with or without you. **DRESS CODE**

Senior Exams - Blocks 1 & 2 Students need only be present for the designated exam block

Senior Exams - Blocks 3 & 4 Students need only be present for the designated exam block

GRADUATION PRACTICE, 12:00 p.m. Seniors should be at Thompson Boling Arena by 11:30 p.m. Attendance required if going through Graduation.

GRADUATION 7:00 p.m. THOMPSON BOLING ARENA **DRESS CODE** Seniors should be in line at 6:30 p.m. The procession will start on time with or without you.

 

GRADUATION CELEBRATION 10:30 p.m. - 5:00 a.m. Fort Sanders Health and Fitness Center. Tickets will be sold April 24 thru May 2 during lunch for $30 each. Cash or checks made out to FHS Graduation Celebration will be accepted. Students must have a completed, signed liabilitywaiver. (Printable waiver on FHS web site: here.

 

**DRESS CODE: Caps and gowns are required at Baccalaureate and Graduation. These caps and gowns must have been purchased this year. Women, pin the collar on your gown before you leave home. Put your cap on well forward with the short point almost between your eyebrows. The cap is worn flat on top of your head and not tilted to the back or the side. Wear your tassel over your left eye. Wear appropriate clothing under your gown. Women are to wear dresses and flat dress shoes. Men are to wear dress shoes, trousers, solid color shirt (preferably white), and tie. Students who are not properly attired will NOT be allowed to participate in the ceremony. Women, leave your purses at home or with your parents or friends. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen belongings. Baccalaureate and Graduation exercises are to be dignified and formal.

 

DISCIPLINE PROBLEMS - Any long-term suspensions will mean no participation in Senior Activities, i.e, Prom, or Graduation exercises.

 

RETURN ALL BOOKS. Textbooks must be returned and library debts, class fees, and textbook fees paid before graduation. If not, students will not be allowed to go through the Graduation ceremony.

 

Baccalaureate service for our seniors will take place at First Baptist Church Concord. Attendance is strictly voluntary. However, students must attend practice if they are planning to participate in the exercises. Men are to bring their caps to practice. (Men remove their caps simultaneously when a prayer is offered, replacing them at the close of the prayer. Women do not remove their caps at any time.)

 

Be in the procession for graduation at 6:30 p.m. at the Thompson Boling Arena. Look for your advisory period teacher for instructions on how to line up. The procession will start on time with or without you.

 

Graduation from high school is a milestone in the life of a student and family. The dignity of the occasion can best be observed by requesting that your friends refrain from whistling or applauding for any one student. Your congratulations can best be shown by applause for the total group after the last graduate has walked across the stage.
