The Frank R. Strang Senior Center is sponsored in cooperation with the Knox County Alliance of Seniors, Covenant Health and the Knox County Parks and Recreation Department. It is dedicated to serving the 50+ senior population of Knox County as a gathering place for fun, education and dozens of other activities.

The Senior Center offers a wide variety of programs with additional programs being added on a regular basis. The standard weekly programs include: health programs by Covenant Health, line dancing, fitness classes, card games, billiards, just to name a few. There are also instructional craft classes and informational programs available.

For an up-to-date schedule of events, monthly calendars are available at the center and are also mailed out with the Frank R. Strang Senior Center newsletter.

To be added to the newsletter mailing list or for more information, call the Senior Center at 670-6693 during operation hours Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 PM and on Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 PM.

The Senior Center will function on the same schedule as Knox County schools for closed days and open delays due to inclimate weather.
